Quite frankly, I put off investigating a SoClean for my CPAP machine for a long time. I had seen ads for the SoClean machines, but, I put them off. I thought the product was a bit pricey. Unfortunately, I also put off cleaning my CPAP with great regularity. Finally, a friend that I met at an RV park in Quartzite, Arizona, casually mentioned that he had one. My first question: “Does it work?” He swore by it. That’s all I needed. I put a SoClean machine on the purchase wish list the next day,
What is a SoClean Machine?
A SoClean2 device is a device that replaces the need to disassemble your CPAP machine on a daily basis to clean it. It uses activated oxygen to clean and disinfect your mast, your tubing, and your reservoir – automatically.
How does a Soclean 2 work?
You don’t have to unassemble your CPAP (or BiPAP) machine to use your SoClean machine on a daily basis. You just put your mask into the SoClean 2 machine and let it run automatically The SoClean uses activated oxygen to clean and sanitize the CPAP equipment you place in the chamber. Activated oxygen is also known as Ozone. Then using the connected CPAP hose, the oxygen travels into the humidifier’s reservoir to sanitize the water and reservoir itself. The result is that it doesn’t require water to clean your CPAP machine. That’s nice! It’s a closed system, too. It won’t emit any orders or chemicals into the air in your home.
How long does it take to operate a SoClean 2?
One reason why I was not taking care of my CPAP machine was that it took so long to wash it I just wouldn’t take the time to do it every morning or even every week. Ewww! It takes all of 15 seconds to put my CPAP mask into the SoClean machine. It has a built-in timer that runs a cleaning cycle at a set time every day. Easy. Peasy. My cleaning compliance is now 100%
